Born 2011 and 2012 (2026 Season)
U16 sees the level of competition and phsyical intensity of the game continue to increase as players reach new levels of experience and physical development. Players will further specialize into the positions best suited to their size and skill sets, as their knowledge of the game, and understanding of offensive and defensive systems and strategy, continue to grow. To begin the season, one coach from each team is permitted to be on the field during play to provide instruction and help players set up their plays, with a target of removing on field coaches by midseason. Referees will enforce and penalize infractions as per the Canadian Amateur Rule Book for Tackle Football.
The U16 division plays either 9-a-side or 12-a-side football, on a full length field (with reduced width for 9-a-side), depending on the number of teams & registrants. No player may score more than 3 offensive touchdowns in one game (passing touchdowns excluded).
