Flag football starts this Tuesday April 27th -Atom and Peewee players and Thursday April 29th - Bantam and Varsity players.

This year we again have certain protocols we have to follow for Covid-19.  The following is a list of items we will be doing and enforcing:

  • All players are allowed one spectator per game.  Attendance will be taken.  More on attendance later in this email.
  • All spectators must wear a mask and be socially distanced from the others.
  • All in attendance must fill a Covid waiver online prior to every practice/game. Instructions to follow.
  • If your player wants to wear a mouthguard, it must not be removed the entire evening.  If they do remove it they have to wash their hands and sanitize prior to returning to play.
  • All players must bring their own water bottle and not share with other team members.

For further details on the Return to Play protocols see our website and click on the tab.

Players are to dress for the weather and we will only be cancelling games in markedly inclement weather (eg. Lightning or Tornadoes).

All will receive two T shirts that they must bring to every practice/game, as they may be home team for one game and away team for the other.  Not provided are Cleats (soccer or football) and shorts without pockets.  We do have a very limited supply of shorts available for purchase ($10 cash).

All should have received an email to download the Teamlinkt app to your phone. Practice/game schedule will be posted in the app and it will be up to the parent/player to mark the attendance and sign the covid waiver prior to every practice.  The waiver is available 24hrs before every Tuesday or Thursday. We will be checking to make sure that all players have sent in the waiver before they are allowed participate each night.

There are a few League Guidelines and expectations that we want followed for everyone to enjoy their time while at Boyd Fields.

  • No Pets allowed  on the sidelines or fields
  • Please bring a container to put your spits/garbage in.
  • Only registered players and coaches are allowed to stand on the sidelines.
  • Bad language and inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.  This includes bullying the other teams and or officials.  We have worked hard to foster a positive atmosphere for all in attendance.  Please remember our officials and coaches are just learning the game as well.
  • Most importantly remember to have fun and cheer on our players in this great sport of Flag Football.

If you need to get in touch with us the best way is to send an email to wyfaboard@gmail.com or message us on our Facebook Page- Westman Youth Football Association.  Remember, we are all volunteers that have full time jobs outside of the time we spend at the fields with your children. If it takes a bit for us to get back to you do not be offended, we are trying our best.

Have a great weekend and we hope to see all of you at the field this week!
